Urban Research Expertise

PROGRAM DESIGN
We carve out theories of change and lay the foundations of programs and interventions in terms of objectives, approach, target audience and expected impact.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT
We assess the need for a program or intervention and generate evidence for it through sector landscaping, interaction with target audience (beneficiaries) and multi-stakeholder engagements. We also cull out insights from the needs assessment to input into program design.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION
We monitor progress of programs and interventions against planned milestones and outputs, and design and undertake baseline, midline and endline studies to assess their impact on different stakeholders.

LANDSCAPING
We generate and synthesise knowledge about the economics of various aspects of urban India (e.g., housing, water and sanitation, roads, policing), including elements of demand, supply, pricing, supply chain, and policy and regulation.

PRIMARY DATA COLLECTION
We undertake end-to-end quantitative and qualitative surveys, focused group discussions, and key informant interviews including representative and purposeful sampling, designing and piloting the questionnaires, face-to-face and phone-based data collection, and survey monitoring and control.

DATA MINING AND ANALYSIS
We analyse quantitative and qualitative data, collected through primary and secondary research (including extraction of data from large government surveys - e.g., NSSO, PLFS, NFHS, Census) to generate deep insights using econometric techniques such as regression analysis.
