Civic knowledge and learning for nurturing children into active citizens

Education makes an excellent ground on which we can teach the practice of citizenship. We support educational institutions with a commitment to cultivating active citizenship as an integral ethos to their purpose. We invest in bolstering the ability of children and youth to care and participate with civic society and contribute to democracy through active participation.

Approach

We harness the power of education to impart three broad categories of critical skills: Learning skills: Inculcating critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills Literacy skills: Building capability using information, media, and technology Life skills: Teaching flexibility, leadership, initiative, productivity, and social skills We own this agenda through a three-pronged approach.

Aligned Lesson Plans (ALP)
Civics and science themed lesson plans created for NCERT & State Boards with a focus on pedagogy - activity based, experiential lessons with practical applicability for the learners.

Civic Action Plan (CAP)
Seven high impact modules created for 6th-9th graders with components of practical Active Citizenship leading to topic-specific project activities that inculcate values of sustainability.

Our City, Our Challenge (OCOC)
Our platform to demonstrate Active Citizenship that can potentially influence quality of life. Participants track the impact of their actions - and the challenge culminates in our Civic Fest.
