MyCityMyBudget

Turning Participatory Budgeting into reality!

Program Banner Image

MyCityMyBudget (MCMB) is an annual participatory budgeting campaign executed through on-ground mobilisation of citizens, community groups, Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) working across social and economic lines towards ensuring citizens are given the opportunity and support to voice their opinions on how they believe their city’s budget should be allocated.

How We Work

We collect citizen views, translate them into budgetary inputs and make representations of these budgetary inputs to the governing institutions. Also, we advocate for citizen participation in the utilization of the funds that are consequently budgeted.

Have Your Say

Tell us what civic issue should receive funds in your neighbourhood - our annual campaign collects inputs online and offline using budget buses, RWAs & Janaagraha SPOCs.

Join Us To Submit Inputs

We collate, understand and translate these raw inputs into monetary terms and submit them to civic agencies in each city where the campaign is live.

Analyse The Budget

Read and stay updated about the budgetary impact that together we were able to achieve. Our budgetary analysis report is an essential tool in reviewing and improving this process.

Stay Involved

Keep yourself informed about the status of each Citizen input that was accepted in the budget and the status of the civic work at a ward level by engaging with the ward committee.

Where We Work

Currently the program is active in three cities - Bengaluru, Mangaluru, and Visakhapatnam.
